Around the waist was tied the woven woolen apron, called skutnika. The aprons had various designs, such as tzitziria (flowers) and mytonia (diagonal lines). The aprons they wore were single-leaf, woven on the loom, richly decorated, and were called pistalkes. They were adorned with various motifs, and each apron took its name from the specific motif. Apart from the pistalkes, they also wore the sourotes, made of satin, embroidered with sequins, with horizontal colored ribbons (lace) and a trim all around the edge of the apron.
