Sayakenia apron from the wider area of Charoupoli in Eastern Thrace. The apron was narrow and elongated, fully embroidered, white, featuring various motifs for the bride, or woven on the loom with different motifs in horizontal bands. In the early 20th century, a very long and narrow apron made of sayaki (a type of woolen fabric) or velvet appeared, decorated with embroidered flowers, circular or other floral patterns.
